Visible Mending

One of the ways I practice presence, care, and connection.

Mending is more than repairing fabric, it’s a quiet ritual of honoring what’s been worn, torn, and loved. I stitch slowly and with intention, holding in mind the person who wore the garment, their story, their movements, the life held in the cloth.

I don’t aim to hide the damage but to make it visible, to transform it into something beautiful and true. Each mend becomes a gesture of attention, a small act of devotion.

Sometimes I mend my own pieces. Other times, I do this work for those who find their way to me, offering care, stitching memory, and honoring the life in the cloth they bring.

It’s a practice rooted in slowness, in touch, in relationship. A way of keeping what’s been lived… alive.
